ELMO Zoom 8-TL dealer display stand, originally intended for presenting the ELMO Zoom 8-TL series of 8mm movie cameras in a camera shop or showroom.
Finished in white with bold ELMO ZOOM 8-TL branding across the front, the stand features three individual raised camera positions identified by the colourful 6, 4S and 4 model markings.
The ELMO Zoom 8-TL was introduced in the mid-1960s and was produced in several versions, including the 8-TL 4, 4S and 6 represented on this display. Depending on the model, the cameras were fitted with different zoom lenses, with the 8-TL 6 offering the longest zoom range.
An unusual surviving piece of 1960s Japanese camera-shop advertising and an especially interesting display piece for collectors of ELMO, vintage cine cameras and photographic retail memorabilia.
